Have you planted a tree in 2012? If so, enter to win a fabulous Phillies Prize Pak! By planting a tree, you’re also participating in the Plant One Million project, an ambitious multi-state tree-planting campaign.

How do you enter? Take a picture of your recently planted tree and tell us something about it. Did you plant it to honor someone’s birthday? A golden anniversary? To provide shade for your home or shelter for the birds? The most creative submission will win not only the Phillies Prize Pack, but also a special place in our collective hearts.

The Phillies Prize Pak includes the home jersey of your favorite Phillies player (how will you choose?), a children’s book on going green signed by Hunter Pence, and a Red Goes Green shirt made from recycled bottles!

Five runners-up will receive a P1M Partners Pak, that includes five pieces of coveted merchandise. Winners will be announced on May 15. Be sure to click the “count” tab as well so that your tree counts toward the P1M goal.

This contest starts April 1, 2012 and the deadline has been extended to May 10, 11:59 pm. One entry per person. The sponsor of the contest is the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) By entering, all entrants agree to abide and be bound by the terms and conditions herein and the decisions of PHS. Certain restrictions may apply.

1) How to enter: Register your information and upload your photo on this site.You must provide all information requested on the registration. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. All received entries become the property of PHS and can be used for promotional purposes.

2) Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware residents who are 18 years of age or older. Employees (and their immediate household or family members) of the partners, sponsors, and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.

3) Contest and notification: One (1) First Prize Winner will be chosen based on creativity of the entry and five (5) Runner-Up winners will be selected at random during a drawing to take place on May 11, 2012. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Representatives from PHS will conduct the drawing; the contest judges will make all final decisions in any and all issues related with this contest. The potential winners will be notified by email. A winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner selected by random drawing from remaining entries if (1) a winner cannot be contacted within one week (2) a winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements; (3) if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, refused, or declined.

4) The prizes: The First Prize consists of a Phillies Prize Pack; runners up will receive a “five-partner prize pack” of one item from each Plant One Million partner organization. PHS may substitute a prize of equal value due to lack of availability for any given reason. All winners are solely responsible for applicable federal, state and local taxes in connection with the prize in the year in which the prize is awarded. All expenses not specifically mentioned are the responsibility of the winners. PHS is not responsible if the event is canceled, postponed, or delayed.

By entering, contestants agree to release, waive and hold harmless Sponsors and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney’s fees) resulting from the contestants’ participation in this contest, their acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize or element thereof, and any travel or event-related activity in connection with the Contest.
